When did alcohol stop being so much fun? Admitedly I didn't drink much at all
this weekend (the unofficial NZ batmud con), but that was largely because I
couldn't be bothered, it just seemed like a waste of time. So much for the
weekend of drunken stupidity I had been expecting (although I was
particularily stupid, though more from sleep deprivation than anything else).
Maybe it would have helped had there been more than 2 people, more to talk
about, or just alcohol that didn't manage to burn, or be bitter, or otherwise
be less pleasant than a glass of Coke. Or maybe it's just without the throngs
of drunk party goers around me I didn't feel obligated to get drunk just to
have fun. Either way, the weekend disapointed me and I missed out on so much
mudding time.
