Song of the Wanderer
In the misty lands,
Separated from us by the sea
Forever towards home
An old man is wandering, singing:
I remember the plains,
That centuries ago
Before me I beheld.
In those foggy plains
I was named Wanderer.
From there I went wandering,
to search for happiness and truth.
Snowy mountains before me I beheld,
And there I went
Heart burning with excitement.
Oh I shouldn't have done so,
ever.
There at the heart of the mountain
at home under home,
a skull burst to fire,
A curse upon me fell.
From there I left with shadows in my eyes
To my eternal wandering
over weeping trees,
Over twisted and withering shires.
