where did it go
into the sea

how it carried me.
away from the sea shore
where shells like to lay
onto greener oceans
so they say.
fly among seagulls,
swallowing brine,
as we dive,
past the ocean
past the sky.
lo, you become me
and we,
we are one tonight.
who cannot see
no one, not a single one
but in all the stars
burning so bright.
crush-ed the waves
behind you the moon
do not turn around
brush stroke caress
a breeze on your skin
my lips to seal
shadows of comfort
you Will love again.
Hear the surface violence
yet do not fear
this type of silence
is what I hold so dear.
