At least as far as I am concerned, the recent double-posting was a good
example of "how to write a news post Shinaae will ignore". Here are some of
the factors:
-- Asking for a rep system for a guild that has one already. Technically, it
has two -- one for channeller leadership, and the "batery" you get when you
check your energy supply. True, the last one vanishes every reboot, but it
gets pretty strong pretty quickly.
-- Asking for a mastery for a single specific spell, in this case, replenish.
Guild coders hate, hate, _hate_ it when you insist that their guild has only
one useful spell in it, and that the rest is filler. It means you're telling
them "I haven't even bothered to investigate other avenues of play except the
one I'm trying to minmax with". The number of masteries in the game that
affect a single skill/spell are extremely few, and none of them are in my
guilds.
And for the record, channellers have _three_ masteries. The one for draining
also applies to replenishes.
-- Asking for a blasting upgrade (the "multiball" blast) because everyone
plays mages is like asking for a healing upgrade to druids because everyone
plays tarmies. Of course mages do the most damage -- they're supposed to.
-- Sending a newspost about how useless your guild is while in the middle of a
party has questionable merits.
-- Sending a newspost without parsing/deactiviating your triggers is also
generally considered a no-no.
-- When you begin the news post by saying "this guild is in a proper tune but
I think it should be made more powerful" just makes you look greedy.
