Most likely the tax system will be abolished and instead
replaced with a pcity upkeep cost. The terrain the pcity
is built on (and surrounding terrain) then provide income
towards the city's upkeep, which is why placing a pcity
in the middle of a barren desert may not be a very good
idea.

Naturally, if the income generated by the city itself is
not sufficient to cover the upkeep, the players will need
to shell out the additional cash. Most cities though
should be quite ok (some might even make money) based on
the income they generate. Think of this as a Civilization
ripoff :)

So income will be affected by 3 room radius around city ? More info would be
awesom, considering on sunday we prooly won't be able to move our cities 2nd
time. Well more info now less whines after :P Preety please.

Also the option to "redesign" our cities would be great, since some cities
probably has been built around their surroundings.

As far as I know, the 'terrain' effect on pcities won't occur for a while,
since I don't believe anyone has actively started coding anything yet. As
such, it's really hard to say what will happen (recall how announcing new locs
turned out), hence the vague advice.

And, in regards to redesigning cities - this is just simply too difficult and
touchy of a change to be attempted.

Would it possibly be an option to rotate the whole city then if it can't be
redesigned? say the original city was placed again a cliff but you can't find
one that quite meets your needs geographiaclly. If the city could be rotated
to fit better that might help.

Eazier and prooly more comfortable would be rearranging few rooms next to your
city, once it is placed, like adding mountains on west side of pcity or
changing river by one room, maybe merchants could do it later :P

I'm very, very reluctant to go playing around with the maps in order to make
things "nice" for a particular pcity, especially considering the large amounts
of space that are available to work with. Keep in mind that there are some
~125 pcities out there, and if I start changing terrains, I'm going to get a
<lot> of requests. I will go out on a limb though and state that if you have a
very, very, very good reason, I might consider something.

This is bull, wizards have sold road for amount x / room, some had their own
islands (now gone hahahha), and whatnot. I, I, Me, Me, you see what I'm trying
to say here?

Let's face it, the whole pcity system is ancient, crappy, and even buggy at
some times (those may or may not have been fixed, but to me it seems nobody
wants to touch the code).
Harmonisation of modules is a great idea (include raceshrineportal to work
like portal does too!)
