There are not many players here that are seasoned that won't come to a huge
agreement that there is one divine truth in this game, and that is: martial
arts sucks.

You can essentially hit harder with spider sabres, and investing quite a bit
of experience into something that is utter crap seems rather, useless, like
the skill shouldn't even exist.

So why not add "Mastery of Martial arts," similar to that of "Mastery of short
blades" that the Shadow Sabres get? One would think that a Martial Artist
would only become stronger, faster and more advanced in his art through
training and use. Adding a skill that could possibly supplement and leave the
possibility for Martial Arts to be up to par with the rest of the damage in
the game seems like a viable addition to a rather old system. Obviously this
could only be accessed by full Monks/Tigers, and would be based upon some sort
of rep verse just dumbing experience points into it.

Enjoy the Gala, sorry I can't make it!

I do agree on fuser's point about martial arts mostly been fairly sucky, i do
not however agree on fact they should be up to par, just based on the simple
fact that a martial artist does not use weapons, where the one using weapons
has invested a lot in getting weapons that do damage. SURE, martial arts could
use a rep system that makes it hit harder than it does now. NO, it should not
be equal to weapon attacks with good weapons. BUT maybe add a variety of
equipment to game that affect output of martial arts damage, like spiky boots
or spiky gloves that enhance the martial arts hit damage. This might be a far
fetched idea, dunno.
