Word of advice. If you want anyone to "fix them bards", a good first step is
to actually describe and report issues or features of the guild that you see
as problematic or non-functional, as well as the proposed changes (if
applicable). While I cannot speak for the wizzes here, I am entirely sure that
a post like yours will not lead to any changes being made.

I am personally presiding over the Bard's guild bardic tasks and
administration as Lorewizard until a...suitable...mortal individual has been
selected for the position of Loremaster or Masterbard. While candidates are
being proposed and discussed, I have volunteered to take on this taxing task
in addition to my own two full-time employment commitments accompanying the
insurmountable plethora of tasks I have to do here. Before you continue to
hammer the bard channel or news groups with whines and expletives, maybe you
should have listened to advice of your peers given _multiple_ times in the
last several weeks a bit sooner and gotten in contact with me regarding your
bardic tasks. I am not here to hunt down everyone playing the game and hold
their hand up the ranks, however, I am willing to help those who help
themselves. I am online most of the time at work, 24hours a day at home, and
also check my tells from my phone, and have ensured that I get back with
anyone who has sent me a request for a bardic task via tell, mudmail, etc to
schedule content and time. Surprisingly, despite all of the aforementioned, it
wasn't until today that I received my first request from you since this issue
was made aware to me...after, on your own volition, you decided to escalate
this to a public forum. Thank you, by the way, for making the very short list
shorter.

This is my point exactly, the one ive asked on the bard channel 1000 times. We
are supposed to bother a wizard for everytime we need some task approved? This
is the way the guild is supposed to work?
I didnt ask Tarken sooner couse i know very well that he are busy doing other
things, coding and what not. I was waiting for a NEW loremaster/masterbard to
be choosen, so i could play this guild as it, imo, supposed to played.
Interacting with the players and figuring thigs out with them, not bothering
wizards to advance in the guild.
Ive tried to make this work but ppl keep reincing out since the guild is in
this state...

I disagree, Tarken has been really responsive when I was a newbie
Bard, I didn't really find much problems in advancing. I don't think he
found it "bothersome" when I asked him for my bard task, in fact he
was really nice and helpful.

The Bards guild in its current state seems fine to me and I plan to become one
again
once I get a few more million exp.

Im so happy for you that you had nice time, playing the bard guild for the 1st
time. My 1st time in bards was pretty muchos like this time. I waited my 1st
task approval for 3weeks, still didnot get it. There was no sweet Tarken to
take the burden of a loremaster that time. Ended up reincing out since
advancement was impossible.
Now, 10y later, i join bard guild again and this time i make some progress.
But the same problem is still there, no LM/MB.
Ive been told the burden of the title is quite high with 0 perks. So maybe add
some +mastery or smthng for the LM/MB for their efforts. And make it drop
after a certain time unactive/offline?
I dont mind any of the other WTF aspects of the guild, they r just fine. The
fact that i need to bother a wizard to advance really bugs the hell out of me,
wizards have better things to do than see ppl perform bard plays. Things like
coding stuff ect.

So you've asked on bard channel, what was asked from you when you joined the
guild? Did you bother reading those? I know how hard it can be. Let me give
you an example how hard it is. You check who are the loremasters and
masterbards and ask them. Check when they could be online, if not then contact
lorewizard. If you are unable to do that, maybe guild isn't suitable for you.
As I have little experience with being loremaster/masterbard the problem seen
from that side is: Agreeing the time with guy and make them understand the
requirements. Being available so that the idiot is able to contact. Worst ever
reason has been "I didn't want to contact Masterbard, since loremasters are
easier to approach"

My advice to you and all the advancing bards: If there's no loremasters
online, contact masterbards or lorewizards, if the are no loremasters or
masterbards available contact lorewizards, if there are no loremasters,
masterbards or lorewizards available, then check another time. If there are
loremasteres, masterbards and lorewizards online, you can contact them via
tells.
