Yes, liberator/animists are too good at the high end of things.
When you say high end of things, do u mean high end eqs? If so I think
kharim/crimson are better in both off/def on high end things than lib/ani,
lib/ani are good at low end things like exp/solo than any other guilds, but on
super high end things high rep kharim/crimson are much better.
While I agree that the contiunous downtunes to punch liberators teethless are
really discouraging and it has been the only kind of "progress" the awesome
guildcombo has got since its launch...
...claiming that a crimso is better for EQ party performance than libe only
shows that you don't really have much experience in partying not to mention
gathering/leading. It is a bold claim but untrue thus won't really help your
case.

I personally would gladly take one good libe to any run I make. And prolly
wouldn't even go to stuff like Moonrind or tougher without one. Sadly its
really hard to get anyone to play it at that level.
Liberator is a guild that needs (or lets say highly benefits from) constant
and high upkeep and playing hours. You really need to do much in and outside
partying to play your role through like a champion... in the end of the day
this gets rewarded by really low scaling/progressing after first 6 months of
playing as well as constant downtunes during the years. If you don't do the
effort then the crimsokharim who only typed "party join" and went for a jog
prolly outperforms you. Also difference with bad/vanilla liberator and
higher-end liberator is really big where fresh out crimsokharim can perform
his single job quite well just by training skills in reinc.
Sadly it is quite clear from devs that this effort doesn't justify power
because "they solo exp tuu guud from perins".
