So protting an item for a customer...item already had prot on it but I
re-cast anyway to refresh....

a pitch-dark cloak of constellations (glowing) <white glow>
Quote:
cast protect armour at cloak
You are done with the chant.
You utter the magic words 'blueeeeeeeeeee****saka??am!a'
You cast the spell successfully.
a pitch-dark cloak of constellations glows blue for just a moment.
Quote:
cast aura detection at cloak
You are done with the chant.
You utter the magic words 'fooohh haaahhh booooloooooh'
You cast the spell successfully.
Featherweight time remaining: 1d, 3h, 56min and 55s
Protection time remaining: 2min and 52s
You detect no spells.

I waited almost long enough...

Featherweight time remaining: 1d, 3h, 54min and 13s
Protection time remaining: 10s
You detect no spells.

And a few seconds later...

Please note that protection time remaining jumped from 10s to 10h, meaning
the prot that I put on there did indeed take, but was masked by the
existing prot. It would be nice if the prot would just refresh, like
featherweight does.

It would also be nice if the <blue glow> would actually disappear when
the prot did. If prot falls and item still has <blue glow> the <blue glow>
doesn't go away until the item takes damage.

I'm guessing the same issue exists with protect item and protect
weapon as well.
