Here's an idea to help speed up recovery of crashed ships. Have some crane or
gantry you can install on your ship to salvage a crashed ship. Possibly have
a bonus to the ease of recovery if you have the shipbuilding skill trained.
Once you have started salvage operations and get the crashed ship rigged to
move, you then have to sail back to Arelium shipyards, or attempt a field
repair to give the crashed ship some mobility. This could be very useful
especially if the crashed ship was on the way back from a cashrun with holds
full of loot and no way to get it off. With a field-expedient repair, this
could allow the ship driver to recover anything onboard.

Also, if the salvager does have shipbuilding skill, perhaps a full repair
could be effected in the field, but supplies would have to be used, I would
think at least decent amounts of 'wood' material to get the hull back in
shape, at the very least.

Anyway, would be nice instead of having to wait for 30 minutes or perhaps more
for your ship to be officially crashed and then salvaged. Prices for towing
and recovery would have to be negotiated between the players of course.

Hmm, perhaps ship repo men too if you miss payment on your boat! ;)
