Help: Council
*!* THE BATMUD COUNCIL *!*
In the past the decision making has been a great part of the developer
community while player ideas have often been taken into consideration
during the process. One of the goals of the BatMUD council is to
give a better chance for the whole community to be heard; be it players,
or wizards. The BatMUD Council is a governing body that consists of
members that are chosen by their peers to serve for a term of one year.
The mission of the council is to help maintain and develop the game, but
also keep its eyes focused on the future of the game.
While the council is the decision-making body, it is not the
operative body. This means that the council can make a ruling, but it
doesn't have the power to force developers to do anything. The council
may authorize a person or a team of developers to carry out a
decision into action.
*!* CURRENT TERM *!*
The council started its term first of May, 2011. The term ends 30th of
April, 2012 unless the council is terminated or put on hiatus as stated
in the council rules.
*!* CONTACTING REPRESENTATIVES *!*
Any member of the BatMUD community may contact any of the representatives
if he/she wishes for the council to debate on an issue. The council
will debate on the issue, if at least two members of the council
support it, or if the issue is supported by an archwizard or approver.
The council will not debate on issues that are not within its
authority such as, for example, basic maintenance.
Approvers and archwizards are required to seek the approval of the council
for changes that potentially have an effect on the game lasting for more
than 3 months (see council rules for details). If unsure whether the
change is a council issue, contact the chairman of the council and he/she
will make a ruling.
*!* CURRENT REPRESENTATIVES *!*
Chairman: Ulath (archwizard)
Members: Heidel (wizard/approver), Era (wizard/approver),
Nazrix (player), Nosunrise (player), Amd (player)
