One of the more popular materials to make outerwear and other useful items, is leather. Due to its light weight, flexibility, durability, and its good looks, it is prefered by many for belts, cloaks, gloves, and many other uses. In order to get leather, one must take the hide from a dead --it's so much easier to work the hide of a dead creature then a live one-- creature, and refine it into a workable piece of leather. Once the leather is tanned properly, it can be cut and decorated as one likes.
