Full Version: Encoding problems on OSX
BatMUD > BatMUD forums > Batclient
Lotheac
This is probably not limited to OSX and the client isn't probably at fault here, but I'm at a loss about how to get batclient to send iso-8859-1 to the mud. Right now I can see everyone else's äöå just fine but mine are just omitted from my messages completely (ie. say äää results in "Nothing to say.")

I can't really say I know a lot about the subject, but I'd like to get this working. Any ideas?

edit: yep, this isn't limited to just OSX - it doesn't work on my Linux box that's got a UTF-8 default encoding either. Still unsure whether it's a client/java bug or user error.

Got exactly the same problem and no idea how to resolve it, any help would be appreciated.
