every time i want to play, i have to download the game client again... there is no shortcut or anything to just go right back in.
Amarth
Try removing Batclient this way: find the Java Cache through Control Panel -> Java -> Temporary Internet Files -> Settings -> Delete Files. Delete all Batclient instances from here.

Then re-download (re-install) client from http://www.bat.org/play/batclient

I am experiencing this also- I will try the fix posted by Amarth.

Below is the error message that goes along with this error:

Try if this works:

From the control panel open the java control panel.
Under the "General" tab click on the "Settings" button under the "Temporary internet files" section.
In the dialog that open make sure the checkbox is checked for "Keep temporary files on my computer".

That might fix it.

you might try some of the things discussed in this thread i started a while ago:

http://www.bat.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=275

although, even after doing all that, i'm still having the same problem :-/

no fun, because batclient is really nice, and cmud, not so much imo...it's just a hassle to have to re-download and re-re-re-re-arrange all my windows yah know?

anyway, hope this helps. if you find a fix please let me know!

Amarth's suggested fix worked for me.
