When setting new ansi color and canceling the color is set to white instead of keeping the old color.
1. Settings -> ANSI color -> blue
2. Press cancel
Blue is changed to white.

Bug in alias?
If you make "/alias t=tell" then "t armageddon sdfsf" works fine, but anything else starting with t breaks because the alias matches on anything starting with it.
Example: typing "twiddle" would translate to "tellwiddle".
I would expect /alias only to match on typed word, not anything starting with it.

The /commandline deleteFromCursorToEndofWord command doesn't work.

Many settings aren't saved from one launch of the bat client to the next including 'echo command' and 'echo command color'. Also preferences for window transparency, i.e. alpha or no alpha, arent' saved from one instance of opening the a window to the next.
To reproduce this:
1. open the news window
2. notice that it (annoyingly!) is semi-transparent
3. right click the window name "news" and select window transparency - alpha off
4. - notice that the widow is no longer partially alpha
5. close news window
6. open news window and see that it is alpha again
or am I missing something somewhere to save current settings?

BatClient 1.94 has example built-in scripts in the help section.
Trying to open some of these seems to lock up the client completely (doesn't respond to anything besides killing it from task manager) and some just won't open.
these didn't show at all:
spellnames.bcs
rounds.bcs
prots.bcs
mage-analyse.bcs
lite.bcs
gag.bcs
Was going through the examples backwards from the end and wasn't finding any example to freeze the client, but finally this one did lock up the client:
customTrigger.bcs
I'll have to close it from Windows Task Manager...hmm.after restarting the client, that customTrigger.bcs opened nicely. So, could it be that opening them one by one causes a conflict at some point? I vaguely remember the triggers.bcs locking the client once...

Another related bug is that if the client isn't shut down, then it doesn't write out the settings properly. I haven't reproduced this, but it has been reported to me by some other folks.

Some of the /commandline commands don't quite work how they should.
/commandline deleteFromCursorToEndOfWord
This command does not work if there is a space preceding a word. It should hungrily eat up spaces in addition to the next word.
/commandline moveCursorOneWordBackward
This moves the cursor back one word + one space, i.e. it moves to the end of the previous word, not the beginning of the last word. This is especially annoying in conjunction with the behavior of deleteFromCursorToEndOfWord.
Emacs, bash, and the like have implemented command line editing quite nicely if you need a guide on how things should work (imho).

News window doesn't remember window transparency settings (wanted to turn off alpha from it).
Steps:
- news read
- right click on title
- set alpha off
- stop reading news
- close window
- news read
... and the window is transparent again

More on news window...
- More prompt goes to generic tab
- Generic tab gets all the line feeds into the message area from hitting enter.

Binding anything to § prevents closing the batclient. Unbinding this fixes the issue.

[12:46]:Moonlord [client]: realm map doesn't work ok in the eastern roth, where spider cave and wormhole are. map shows on the miniature map on lower right corner of bigger map, but bigger map shows only blue
[12:47]:Astrax [client]: strangely it's missing only squares that fit to the screen, if you move the window some missing parts appear..
Also, at least on OS X 10.4. party window player icons get usually messed up (so that two players have the same icon) when swapping people around. This has happened in the earlier client versions as well.

On OS X 10.4, copy, paste, select all, etc. shortcuts that use the command key (⌘) are now using ctrl. Works correctly in 1.90 but can't test other versions.

The bar in the lower section of the client that contains the buttons Network, Settings and Help is gone. I can't even tell you the version i am using, because there is no way to show.
I already tried reinstalling the client, but that didn't work.

You're using client v1.97 which does not (by default) have the "task bar" anymore. The options which used to be in the "task bar" (bar on the bottom side of the client v1.94 and older) are located behind "Esc" (or alternatively through "ALT-F4", in case you've bound Esc to clear what you've typed, like in zMUD).
The old functionality is still available and you can restore the "task bar" by typing /taskbarShow (and re-hide it by /taskbarHide). Alternatively, also this is available through unlocking Settings -> Hide bottom taskbar.
