I was thinking it would be nice to have a window that I can load ASCII maps in to, or even image maps. I've spent so much time mapping out these dungeons, and it gets really frustrating having to minimize and switch between screens just to see my maps. I've been trying to work out a way to do it with the options currently available but I just can't seem to get it.

That should be possible with plugin. Just open new window and print the text file there.
