Please make it possible to change wallpaper with scripts.

Changing wallpaper according to in game actions (and location and time) could improve gameplay.

This is a good idea and will (hopefully) be incorporated into Batclient's next version.

After the change I wrote a small plugin that changes wallpaper based on location. You can find it here: http://batmud.blogspot.com/p/batclient-wallpaper-plugin.html.

The problem with many pictures are that they are often too bright to be used directly (without editing) as wallpapers. It would be great to have version of the method setWallpaper(String file, float p, int color) which would allow fading the picture towards target color before displaying it (so setWallpaper(file, 0.5, 0x00000000) would fade picture 50% to black) this could also make it possible to have some sort of day/night effect without having different pictures.
