Just an idea here, to lessen squabbling:
Instead of just 12 sabre points to whoever mounts the tail, how about:
- 1 sabre point to everybody who encounters the fox
- 5 sabre points for killing the fox solo
- 3 sabre points for being in a party that kills the fox
- 6 sabre points for mounting the tail.

I figure this'd cut down on squabbling about "I killed it but you took the
tail" or "I got it from excellent to near death but you killed it" etc etc.
Just a suggestion, not a complaint.
