If you don't like reading skip to "Nutshell" in next post!

After a month of testing around I can say guided strike is currently in
horrible tune. And I will give you why with some info how it currently works
in practise. Some basics:

1) Skill is affected by at least Cha, guided strike%, mount used (level and
type), playerlevel, leadership-skill, riding skills

2) Scorp does something like 500-700 poison damage and drake 150 to 250
phys-damage depending if was area or single hit which randoms. Gryphon loses
to drake but only a bit. Numbers were on fast pvp test. Tho damage varies at
least on scorp down quite much (not sure if monsters get a saving throw or why
it sometimes might do 0 damage on hit and next one takes 50% of mobs shape)

3) Skill fails A LOT. I did a counter some weeks ago and currently have steady
58% success-rate on average on few thousand stings. On small mobs (off-exp)
the rate is much higher around 60-70% but seems when mob gets level it is much
lower varying around 35%-45%. At least it feels like there is some hard limit
in this around 150-200k mob in terms of expvalue/around where colors turn
bright in terms of holz colors

Now how these points add up in practise:

- Using a scorpion on exp gives you unbeatable damage. Used right and no one
can compete with you and you can pretty much wear whatever you like. Whip from
Anyweapon and shop shield and can roflstomp mobs at parry max and see
barbarians next to you cry with vorpals and tmakers in hand cause they lose.
(if aggravate a bit)

- Using guided strike with any other (currently generally known) mount than
scorp is really trivial. Skill fails so freaking much its better to use
something like regular assault (this even with really high end mounts like
ancient chaos drakes) or just forget the whole skill. Yes, I know they also
try to passive-hit time to time, but if one beastmaster rides scorp and other
drake and both chain GS... just guess who wins in damage by a mile :)
+ This is really sad because if you want to play smart and be effective on exp
parties, you have only one choise on what to use. I would much rather see more
even dam output on high-tier mounts but varying damagetypes. Like poison for
scorp, acid for chaos drake, cold for hoar frost, fire for firedrake...

- Ep-cost for skill isn't in any way in line with other main off-skills from
other guilds. In other words almost free to use.

- If I was right about monster level affecting outcome please reconsider that.
Its imho just a stupid feature and only usually makes you run around in
god-mode when butchering small mobs and makes the skill unfavorable on big
mobs. Either way killing small cannonfodder extremely fast compared to bigger
challenges is already way too profitable in this game (aka. beastland rape)
