Wondering if anyone has any data on average players online
year by year/month by month.

Kinda wondering if BatMUD needs a kickstarter campaign
to advertise the MUD. With other MUDs shutting down and
declining, those players could be snatched up maybe.

I know in the past administration has taken the stance of
people don't learn to play MUDs in general unless, shown
how to directly by someone who already does. I wonder
exactly how true that is or if the effort just isn't there
to advertise to kids.

Maybe some sort of program for getting new people to play
or a contest or something would be helpful. idk.

Anyone have thoughts on BatMUD's player base and any
thoughts on how to ramp up newcommers to the game?

mudstats.com has some graphs although there are gaps. Basically it seems there
was a big decline in attendance between 2009 and 2013, then it slowed down.
Last year there was slight upswing. This trend is similar to what was seen in
most other Muds. For example Aardwolf lost nearly half of its players up to
2016, then it stabilized.
