So, feather weights. Having to get (or do with secondary merchant) FWs every
few days is a chore that nobody enjoys - there is nothing interesting about
FWs, it's just busywork that the game insists on doing for the sake of doing
it. Because, reasons. It's just a kludge around a poorly thought out concept
(item weights).

And because of how weight limits work, FWs are pretty much mandatory for any
serious play.

Now, development time seems very limited here, and there are many other
subsystems that need it, making bigger changes unlikely. Happily, I have a
solution that is easy -and- effective.

Proposal:

Delete the feather weight timer, making them permanent after cast (they can
still be removed with heavy weight if someone needs it). Then, salt the
ground, maybe sacrifice a chicken for old times' sake, and upload the change.
Done.

Simple, effective, nothing else needs to be done there, and nothing of value
will be lost.
