It is already a feature:
Special: If a direction begins with an '*', then that move will be
processed as if it were a sail command. The distance here is limited also.

Actually, it would be even better if someone would actually fix the laenor
ferry building to work like all the other ferry buildings -- where you could
land into the harbor instead of even needing to sail out.
Most harbors, you can fly over the building, then "ship secure" and end up
inside the harbor...laenor ferry one is special in that it needs to be sailed
into, meaning it needs to be sailed out of as well.
