Re: this kepucon thingie...if I were to decide to go, would I want to fly to
helsinki? or are there other airports closer?
And, if I were to go, when would I need to land to be able to hitch a ride
with someone?

Just fly to Helsinki airport and then change to plane. There are at least two
domestics airlines (Finnair and Blue1) which take you to Oulu. Blue1 is
selling a one-way ticket to Oulu for 82,30 euros right now on Friday 24th
August.
