So obviously a lot of mortals have asked about Templar getting ?fixed,? or
revamped or whatever you want to call it
but typically it has fallen upon deaf ears besides the addition of
?Congregation of the Virtuous,? which was great at
first and then sort of became useless all over again. I?m a big advocate of
making templar into a guild that is worthwhile
again, due to the fact that the evil_religious background has many ?tankish?
guilds that are great (tiger, spider, kharim,
reaver, nergal?, tzarakk, etc.) and meanwhile good religious has two and a
half (liberator, monk(lulz), knight (lulz again).
Liberator was an absolute great addition to the game (thank you Heidel) that
MANY players are enjoying at this very
moment or will enjoy someday with many opportunities to build rep, do eq/exp
parties and of course solo for players
like me that may not have the time or ability to commit to long-term. I?d love
to see this guild become a damage making defensive guild, sort of like Kharim,
but only against evils. Anyways, figured I?d throw my two cents out at
Templar and see if anyone cares or has something to add:

Holy strike:

This skill in essence should be somewhat like ghost slash I?d imagine, but at
the moment it does about as much
damage as pound, just with the addition of mana damage. The randomness of the
skill duration makes it for lack
of better terminology?quite useless, not to mention it like some nun spells
works only on ?evils? that are evil ENOUGH.

If you tie this more heavily into the Holy Warfare skill and add some sort of
bane effects to the mob when it gets
struck with Holy Strike (more damage from blasts/melee from good align
players?) and add some sort of set duration
for the skill like ghost slash. Or maybe when Stalwart Stance is in effect,
Holy Strike becomes a passive damage skill
that can be combined with other attributes from other guilds.

Divine Enhancement:

What the fuck does this spell do :D? I?ve never seen much of a difference in
shielding when this spell was in effect
on my shields, maybe someone else has, I?m not sure. Maybe Divine Enhancement
can make the templar?s shield
do more damage to evils or once again, add some sort of passive damage from
shields whilst it is under the effect
of Divine Enhancement.

Holy Blaze:

This skill seems useless at the time too because it whacks all evils in the
room, but maybe turn it into a mastery skill
