More ramblings..

Actually this is more of an open topic.. I was idly talking with another
player and was asked what single item could be created that would be desired
for a particular guild. I started brainstorming and trying to come up
with things but for the most part, I either don't have enough experience
in a lot of guilds or still feel like other players probably have more and
therefore.. would come up with more relevant ideas.

So i started throwing the topic around and very quickly had people telling
me.. I would really like to see this, .. or that. This is just expanding
on that.. as is always the case, BS is assumed to be pissing into the
wind but.. i'm looking for 3 things that players would like to see for
the guild that they know by heart. In 3 bears style, one thing that's
very minimal but more a quality of life improvement, another that's
noticeable but not game breaking, and finally the -I wish-.

MERCHANTS-

Back when i started merching.. I did a lot of random area mining-mcing
and ended up working around city regen crystals that also gave access to
the various forges and such. Lots of juggling and bs to get things done
and what not. I eventually made my merch ship with forges and this
greatly simplified things. I'd like to see pro-forges capable of being
installed in merch ships. There's already a work around of tossing a
bunch of 50 slot mineral boxes in your ship vault.. but as a quality of
life thing.. it'd make life easier. Even tho i'm doing hardly any mining
these days.

I guess the next thing i'd like is.. enchanted items. I initially thought
this was a big game breaking issue until i realized that there are
multiple methods of doing just that already in game. Not actual crafted
items but areas that drop random, magical gear. I'd like to see something
a little more deliberate and ideally incorporating essences into building
specific items with certain stats. This would further increase the
market for essences but also help to fill the skill-spell slot for items
that just don't exist. I still think it shouldn't be a simple... i dump
this much and i get that thing. A certain amount of randomness on
crafting helps players keep coming back to try to get that one in a
million piece of gear.

hmm. I imagine i did say 3 things but i'm having a hard time coming up
with something that i find would improve merchants. I know there are any
number of tweaks to existing spells that players would like.. or some
method to avoid having to run to vlad whenever someone calls out for
a repair, surgery or feather weights.

Incorporating a mini-service shop into your merchant cart? you load it
with various materials and it does cost specific repairs.. fill it with
a certain amount of mana to cast fws.. etc..

or possibly a merchant-service rep system that will allow you to cast
better length fws and prots..? I know hte current system is carefully
balanced to create a market etc..

But finally, i'd like the ability to actually sell dungeons or areas. I'd
say the easiest way would be found maps that you'd have to mine down to
a certain point and open the gateway to the mini-area. The mechanics of
it would have to be worked out but you would use minecrafting to dig
down to the underground tomb.. purple worm's lair or whatever it is
and then allow access to it via the sign above ground. This last idea
is the fully bizarre one that would probably not work and not be worth
the amount of time it took to code but..there is is.

Throw out ideas if you'd like.. :)i heard kharim's say they'd like a
craftable kharim shield.. ideally made from shards in a different fashion
from Kharim blades.

Or a wearable spider egg that grows and leeches xp to eventually hatch
into a more personal spider demon ( for spiders ).
