Ska music: ska music originated in Jamaica. It was played and danced by black
Afro-Caribbeans. The rude boys started liking ska and rocksteady in 1966, ska
had been around from at least the beginning of '60's. So the rude boys took
ska and rocksteady from Jamaica to U.K. in 1968. There was skinhead mod
culture in U.K., having to do with beer, fighting, pills, and listening to
music. The rocksteady era ended in the beginning of '70's. Then there came
punk which embraced reggae, and reggae had been created in the '70's. The end
of the '70's saw ska revival, two-tone, which was leftist political. Punk
music: Punk was created in the end of '70's. In the beginning of '80's there
was new wave of punk. In the beginning of '90's there came grunge, which was
born from punk and heavy metal of the '70's and '80's.
