The Day I Left The World

This is me, mentally naked
stripped of all illusions
free
free to be and behave
in a way I see fit

Consisting almost solely of ugly scars
existential angst and
pure misery
I can view the world from the depths of
my pit
my stronghold and
headquarters
the endless void of my soul

My view is clear
my thoughts sharp
my mind calm...

...calm like
just before the storm

Mark this day, brethren
for this is the day
the day I left the world
