After quite a long while I got a working w32 development enviroment again
and thus built the transputty patch against the new 0.60 version of putty
with mingw. So if someone still uses the old crude pseudotransparency of
transputty, it is now possible to upgrade from 0.57 to 0.60 from the
same url at http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/mxkoskin/

I made a new version of the TransPutty update mentioned in my earlier blogs.
It was based on a 0.54 dev-snapshot, this new one however is based on the
0.56 release which is immune to some security exploits that are present in
0.54 and 0.56.
So if someone happens to be using the transputty executable it's a good idea
to get the newer .exe from my site at http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/mxkoskin/
... and yes it is a very crude pseudotransparency requiring an alternate
background image ('putty.bmp' in the same dir as transputty.exe) to work.
I suggest using a tinted version of your background that you can create
with your favourite image editor. (Gimp, photoshop etc.) Cheers.

Finally completed my second mix, A night in the Ghetto. Mainly some
hip/triphop stuff with some movie influences. Mainly some mellow slow
stuff, but with a few faster tracks in the middle.

I completed a newer version of the TransPutty hack (a putty client with
simple transparency support). The code is very much based on the original
transputty hack by robymus@cprogramming.hu, but his version which I had
also been using was based on a year 2000 version of putty. So I ripped
his sources with a few adjustments and applied them to the 17-May-2004
putty snapshot. You can download the executable from http://www.bat.org/u/Tp
or http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/mxkoskin/downloads/transputty.exe
I've only tested it on my system, with my settings.

i'll keep them there for a while. it's sorta mellow stuff, not something
you'd usually listen to on friday evenings tho! :)
