I've become addicted to ships. Building, testing and sailing. I doubt I could add anything to my blog that would add to what is already known about them and how they work, but I've learned a few things that I could share: First, my current ship is a class 2 Sloop. I'm saving up for a Class 3 currently. Sail speed with 4 sailors (levels 3,3,4,4) was very slow. Movement with cruise was about 1 room every 3-4 seconds. I've since added a second set of Sailor Quarters and now have 6 basic sailors, all level 4. Movement speed is much improved ... cruise moves about 1 room every 1 to 1.5 seconds. I'm saving the rest of the slots for special sailors if I can ever find them. I spent a few k to get some emerald discs and found out that they are really only useful for combat. I wish I had known that before I spent the cash on them. Perhaps they do have another use but I haven't figured it out yet. Along similar lines, I explored Silver Lake and added a few features (water barrel, food locker, water speed lever). And I've been enjoying that you can customize your ship with room descs, items, and emotes. All very cool. I look forward to learning more about the ships and trying to puzzle out some of the shipquests. Ships might be one of Bat's biggest money sinks, but a class 2 seems well worth it so far just for basic puttering about. I can't wait to get up to class 3.
So, this is the Blogging tool. Interesting. I'll write something useful here later.
