A knight well-educated in both warfare and spellcasting can make use of this skill. He keeps his ears open for a specific spell chant, and then tries to react with this warning to deflect the spell called into being by that chant. If the knight is skilled and fast enough, the spell can be harmlessly deflected. Spell parry does not block every spell. Area and touch spells cannot be parried, nor can enchantments like curses. Only ranged, single-target spells can be blocked. In order to deflect a spell, you must wield a weapon or shield with the same damage type as the spell itself, or a shield with resistance to the spell's damage type. For example, to parry a fire spell, you must could use a flaming sword or a shield of fire resistance. (Magical weapons are needed, any properties from weapon material are not powerful enough)Syntax: use spell parry [to see list of watched chants] use spell parry at <new chant> use spell parry at <new chant> replace <old chant> use spell parry at clear [removes ALL chants]
