The realm of BatMUD is populated by many different races and mystical creatures. While many beasts and supernatural beings lack the intellect to function as coordinated entities, and thus not suitable as player characters, BatMUD still offers a wide range of possibilities for Your character. Note that not all races are suitable for all backgrounds and tasks - the strong but rather dumb cyclops make poor mages for example. Also note that some races are only available for seasoned players that have completed one or more rebirths, and other races may require an invitation by another member of the given race.
