What's this eq claiming? ======================== EQ claiming is a way of telling the game that you and possibly group of your fellow adventurers are rightfully the creators of a specific item in case the item somehow doesn't reflect this. There is a gadget on the central square in Arelium that can be used to 'claim' ownership of an item. Naturally, items that already have the creator information set (viewable by the identify spell) are not reclaimable. You can only claim really old items, all new equipment should have creator names saved. If they don't, please send a bugreport about it (help bug). You can also claim an item with several names, but all the persons must have created their characters before the item was made. SEE ALSO eqdamage
