A) This happens to prevent password hacking. The login code prevents logging attemps for half an hour from host if there is too many misstyped passwords. It may be that you typed the wrong password or then someone else. With the delay of half an hour the password hacking if efficiently slowed down so radically that you shouldn't be afraid of your password being hacked. Most cases where your password is hacked is when your friends see you typing your password. Q) What if you get 'Connection refused' when connecting to BatMUD? A) Game is just rebooting. The game=software has not yet properly get up and reserved the IP port (23), so unix system says connection refused.
