I would like to see a new plant in the game, perhaps called "Athelas".
This would be a rare plant, only growing at swamps and at certain times.
It could be used straight from the plant by wrapping it around wounds to make
them heal up faster.
Since it would only grow at a certain time and in places hard to access, it
could be picked, of course, but when picked, it would wither in a matter of
minutes.
In order to use the withered leaves, one should carry a small cooking set,
weighting a few kilos. When cooked on a campfire, it could boost the fire's
effect, greatly at first, but as the leaves start to lose their flavor, the
effect would slow down.
Of course, causing such a good feeling, breathing the plant could be highly
addictive... and, in rare cases, it could cause hallucination - especially if
the fire is not hot enough or if the one boiling the Athelas had low skills on
plant lore.
Why? Just to make rangers useful in parties and to make rangers a bit more fun
again.
Also, one could think what effects this Athelas had when smoked in a pipe!
