I agree, that was an excellent post. Well formatted, thought out, and
articulate. However, I disagree with the comment on
"historical wisdom". America is a melting pot of many cultures and societies
and, although a young country, shares the same world history as all countries.
As for time to develop, we have had just as much time as everyone else in the
world. This "historical wisdom" you mentioned isn't passed down through
heredity. People in one country aren't born with a sense of wisdom based on
history, yet we all have the chance to form this wisdom based on current
available historical record. Granted, some countries put more emphasis on its
citizens learning history, and maybe America doesn't put enough, but it isn't
an automatic thing.
Anyway, what do I know, I'm just a lazy American.
