Conjurers are not a must in eqparties. I've done eq where I've protted the
party with just a druid and we did ok. I've also done eq where I've protted
the party with folklorists and we still did ok.
They weren't topend stuff, but hey, nobody would expect to do a 1M monsie
without conjurers anyway.
And to give conjurers to priests would be giving way too much power to
evil_religious people, I can just think of the reaverpriestconjurer soloing
whatever he feels like.
There are alternatives to the conjurers anyway, priests get PFG, nuns PFE,
civilized has folklorists, runemages, even bards to some extent. Then there
are druids that do ok for frontrow protters.
Then there's nothing really wrong with good old channellerconjurer either.
Except the fact that no oldbie wants them in their party because "they suck
too much".
So, giving conjurers to evil_religious would only give the backround even more
power than it already has, and I would dare say it's already the most powerful
backround we have. Just don't do it.
P.S. I do agree that priests are a wee bit boring as it is, but there are
other ways to make it work than this.
Why do you speak of 'evil-religious' when everyone knows that is a single
guild that has too much power?
