Gee, people who knew the game well could use the bug command to narrow down
the orgin of something to three or four areas! I'm glad someone tuned the fuck
out of that, it's just so unfair that someone who'd read the helpfiles and
explored a bit could do that. Too dang many midbies doing their own eq
nowdays, got to stem that tide. I think tells should be monitored and people
who share area info should be levelzapped too. Please code blindfold not as an
item, but a party leader command that gives the leader exp for helping to keep
the game fun. I also think Tiburcio's amulet should be renamed "Mister
Pansyface's Amulet" to confuse newbies who might figure out the quest before
it gets ruined every boot and who can somehow deal with infinite golems well
enough to actually kill tibbie.
Please enlighten me if I have missed an obvious reason for mortals to see the
creator of an area with some command. Why can't people use the 'bug' command
as it is meant? If 'wrong' bugs are reported, wizards have an easy option to
ignore them - no harm done. How does knowing or not knowing actually affect
your gameplay? Oh well, perhaps it makes life easier with the meteor event...
I'm not saying it should be a great secret who coded this or that, all I'm
saying the game should be completely playable still. I can code a blindfold
for Presence if it makes his miserable life any easier after this horrid
downtune.
