Then don't use them dammit. Water scooters, football, milk, religion, and
politicians are also utterly useless - I don't use them - I don't complain.

That's like saying don't play in mud where Gaseousfart is
spamming. Thank god the admin doesn't have that point of view
on ignore policy, so we are free to ignore him or put a level-
ignore. However, if we want to be in some societychannel
we don't own, we have no control if the owner uses them.

Next you're going to say "you don't have to play batmud either"?

PS: channel nicknames are truely annoying, only thing worse was
nickname expanding, but that at least got removed pretty soon...

so that if an ss channel owner wants to always have nicknames than they will.
but the owner could instead allow each user to control whether that user sees
the nickname
