In addition, I recall Gore (or some other arch) postime some 'not-so-long'
time ago that 'we are moving toward a less boon-oriented game'. It sure looks

yeah, one would think this latest addition to the boongallery is merely a
shortcut to compensate what turned out to be a very harsh tune.

Maybe you should give things some time - the new stuff hasn't been in the
game for more than a week, yet you're all over it complaining how it
contradicts a "less boon-oriented game". It takes time to find the correct
balance for new boons as well as any other changes that the speed tunes
may have caused (weapontypes etc).
