Well its nice to see some reply here. First off I mud-mailed you twice
Ulath to ask what would be the guildlines of the giveaway. If there were any I
have never been informed by anyone about them. When you didnt get back to me I
asked Tarken and Shinarae only...and in both circumstances the reply was that
they couldn't talk to me about it in anyway. That is the extent I went to to
find out 'if' I was following proper procedures. With NO reply from anyone in
admin I figured I would just go on with it.
It would have been awesome if there would have been some kind of game
interaction of some kind. I did NOT rant to any wizard in anyway. I was
shocked that none of my mails were answered in anyway. I have a family also, 5
kids, grandchildren and so on. So real life can come into play at times I
agree. But getting the 'cold' shoulder about wanting to ask proper procedure
in this I don't think in anyway disrespected you or anyone else. Infact I felt
very much shunned by the entire thing.
In my history of playing this game I have always stood up for the Newbie
population. No other player in this game has ever gone to the extent I have to
try and keep the player base of newbies fresh and involved in this game. So me
holding an ingame event of this sort was something I thought the game needed
to help keep fresh players involved in the game.
The Newbie Giveaway stands alone in its apparent value to the new player
base. The event was a success without the apparent support of admin. And
knowing that make me happy. Watching the players this year step up and really
get involved was very exciting also, for without their involvement this event
would have been a failure for sure. Many scorned me for what i was doing, but
there will always be that kind of scrutiny where people in general are
involved.
I hope in the future that maybe someone will take the reigns and continue
to help keep the game player base excited and fresh as i have tried to do. And
I hope that Bat Admin will help independant events as much as they would help
one put on by themselves. A few wiz made items and maybe some TP's to add to
the pot would have been awesome. And Thats all I was asking for in the
beginning.

Both posts by Ulath and Gore have thanked you for your event. I don't think
anyone's 'scorned' you for what you were doing, but rather the attitude you
take in trying to accomplish the thing.
How does a wizard not donating tps or eqs scorn you? Does this prevent you in
any way from performing your charity event? I think not.. yet you continue
this attitude of "if you aren't going to help me, then you're against it".
If you want to help newbies by holding a charity raffle.. just do it. Give
thanks to those that donate with you, and leave it at that. Nobody's a victim
here.
