Forgot to mention for to make that 175k from gem cutting, you'll be spending
5+ hours including searching, regening... not to mention risk of dying from
running into aggro lion/bear/etc in the outerworld.

You have the stats, compare it's use now with before. It's down for a reason.
Just like anything on this mud (guild, skill, spells), if no one uses it..
it's because it 1) sucks 2) something else is better 3) no one has found a
good reason to use it.

The only reason to use it now is 1) alchy rings 2) belt quest 3) druid or
others thing consumes gems. So I don't see the reason for having such a
drastic fumble.
