My idea is that the description of charisma ought to be race dependent. For
example, a troll could never become handsome or good-looking, even with 100
charisma. On the other hand, an elf could never sink as low as eye-sore, or
maybe with a charisma of 30, or such.

The task would be to come up with several new descriptions for charisma and
then place all the races somewhere on the scale. Stats would remain unchanged
in case that was unclear. So nothing about tunes.

Hopefully some imaginative wiz would find the time to look into this.

i konw what you mean, but it assumes a human eye as you describe it
something like this would really alter the desc based on who's looking
as well as who's being looked at... no elf really looks like 100
to a troll, or a skeleton (ew skin), etc.
might be more complicated than it's worth but would certainly be
"atmospheric" if all beauty was in the eye of the beholder.

You are looking through a human's eyes. Ever thought that trolls might not
consider humans or elves beautiful? I think the charisma-system is pretty fine
as it is now. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder or something

Rather change charisma stat descriptions to reflect charisma instead of
beauty.
