Maybe new boon/bane pair would be in order since donations are open and
everything..

Boon:
Materialist spirit, Makes you love and take care of all material thigs you
have and thus prevents your eq from taking damage a bit.

..maybe make it available for civilized and / or nomad background only (magic
users and religious creatures can rely on their mana/gods and they would be
uninterested in this kind of material things).

Bane:
Carefree living, Makes you not to care much about anything going on around
you, even the equipment you are carrying, so your belongings will get damaged
a bit more than usual.

This could be open for all backgrounds. And by all means think of better names
to these if you wish.

I actually really like this boon/bane idea. newbies taking the bane with
their nice newbie/midbie no name EQ would have it deteriorate faster, giving
them incentive to either buy more eq, or actually start to make some of it
themselves.
