There is a lot of useful info that comes into the game via the inform
'channel' and inform news groups. It'd be nice if there was a help file or
some system to capture all of this so that newbies who come here don't have to
find out from the crusty old highbie who was there 3 years ago when a wiz
posted something in inform. One example i can think of off the top of my head
is a newbie question of 'why do i want to use a shield?' (the answer newbies
is that it reduces crits, and size matters!...at least based on a wiz post in
inform about 5 years ago:) ). Just an idea that helps out the newbies
understand the game.
