As you can see from the informs (inform last), quite a bit was achieved
today. Even though this was quite much an uninformed maintenance break,
it had been long planned beforehand (by several archwizards). Please
accept my most sincere pardons if you were actually trying to get something
useful done in the mud today.

We did some major changes at the bat.org headquarters, most notable of
them being the implementation of another server (of the same calibre
as the one you are enjoying right now; tiamat) - and several other things
such as an internal network between the two servers and a cross-terminal
connection between them. We also released the old faithful cave (server)
from its former duties. Major work on kernel versions (yes, we run Linux
here nowadays), BIOS updates, hardware raid updates were done. We also
finally added 512MB more memory to tiamat, bringing the total up to the
rightful 2GB as what it should have been in the first place.

These changes (among with some I have purposefully left not mentioned)
will help us continue developing BatMUD yet further, again. The next
most anticipated feature will be, no doubt, the new web-pages that we
have lacked for several years.
