With all the fuck-up tunes, shitty-kikka eq's increasing spmax full regen etc
crap, exp-inflation, name-tunes, badly balanced exprates on races, world of
warcraft and lack of administration on certain eqmobs and eqs - has driven
almost extinct the casual (work)player who doesn't want/can't play from home
every single second of his/hers/its freetime and still could make some exp
with decent, heart-warming rate.
Solution:
1. Steal the "gain more exp the less you play" from WoW, lets say generate a
median of 7h play time per week (1h / day) -> exprate 150 and then it starts
gradually dropping until you reach the fuckup-level where exprate is constant
80 (yes, uptune for cyclopses and few other races :DDD). This would encourage
players to do some exp EVEN when they don't have enough time to play, and for
screen-idling losers who start to whine that they want to chat I say only
':DDDDD'.
2. Powerhour with the limit which was mentioned gazillion times over the short
powerhour-experiment - for example either 1.5h of powerhour exp daily or 500k
exp. Now you say '500k isnt enough for ME' -> well, play daily 1h and make
that 500k -> thats 15megs exp monthly -> I'd say 'decently' for casual
players.
But without some new courses I fail to see how any newbie could enjoy the game
anymore and because the game has been tuned towards high-end players its no
wonder the next generation of mudders hasn't showed up. OR can you point few
lets say 2003-2005 creted chars which arent suiciders, quitters or somehow
former batmudders.
