We should also be able to cook vegetables and maybe some of the fruits too
that can be picked with help of the plant lore skill.

I can do that, but roasted vegetables will lose most of their properties.

OK, you can now roast fruits and vegetables over an open fire. Once cooked,
they cannot be stored in herb jars anymore (as they are significantly more
dead than before) but should work in potions and druid spells fine.

Perhaps later I'll make some plants only edible if cooked/raw. But not today.

Make the taste affect how much one can eat! Let races have different kind of
taste, so that humans would not eat raw potatoes or uncooked rabbits, but more
likely roasted fish and mashed potatoes, where as an orc would require raw
meat and fresh blood and would also get more out of it.

Idea II: A proper fishing system (check Icesus) wouldn't hurt. They've got a
guild for fishers (?), you gain exp from it (?), the fishing equipment affects
your chance to get fish etc etc.
I don't know if terrain affects the species you can catch in batmud, but one
should be able to try to catch a certain fish, say lake trout, which could be
catchable only on certain places.
