A wizard and a forever-newbie were stargazing:

-"Oh, look, a shooting star! Make a wish." proclaimed the wizard.
-"I wish for something to do in combat when I start out as a good
religious newbie." quickly replied the forever-newbie.
-"Granted!" said the wizard and snapped his fingers.
-"Whoah, really?" wondered the newbie.
-"Yes. Really." replied the wizard.
-"So you mean that spanking a monster for 30 rounds isn't necessary
any more?" asked the newbie in disbelief.
-"That is one way to put it, yes." answered the wizard who was getting
weary of the conversation.
-"Won't it be horribly overpowering to give the measly healers some
way of killing monsters?" asked the newbie, still gasping in awe.
-"We'll see..." said the wizard, and pointed at the sky: "Look, there's
another shooting star!"
-"Another wish?" begged the forever-newbie.
-"Don't push it, newbie." stated the wizard and ruffled the
forever-newbies hair.


Short version:
Good religious background gained a brand new spell, 'celestial spark'.
It is available and automatically added to all members of the good
religious background after ld and re-enter. It is aimed to be a newbie
spell, but older players might find it useful too.
