Because I have infinite time and and patience, I decided to clean up some code
of individual commands, including 'note'. As a special bonus, I threw in a new
feature: automatic timestamps.

A timestamp will now be stored for each note from now on, the old notes will
not, of course, magically get a timestamp. You can also choose the format for
the timestamp's display, including not showing it -- which is the default, so
that our grumpy oldbies do not become annoyed.

See 'help note' for more information. Oh, and because this new feature made
the old '-d' option useless, it got removed.
