I dont see the sense in limiting newbie channel to \'<level 40 / 20days
of age\'-characters.

I\'ve been in this game a few years, gained a few megs of exp and even
bashed a few big monsters to death, and I still have questions to ask!

So, where do the lost souls above level 40 with an age of 20 days of more
that hasnt got all the answers go with their questions?

Ever tried wanted channel? It has been used for
questions since i begun to play batmud 95. Somehow
people have started to flood newbie channel instead
of wanted.

I still think it\'s stupid to not let players with a certain age/level
use the newbie channel :)

As always, you are entitled to your opinion.
Of course you are also obliged to follow the rules.
I myself am very much not thrilled by seeing the channel
full of questions about midbie/highbie equipment or such.

using wanted channel for asking questions can and will cause confusion. (a
[wanted] what spell is gwwwwajjj - b [wanted] summon - c [wanted] got b!.
Yeah I know the example is bad but anyways) Rather use bat/chat/bs/fin/suomi/wh
atever. (Because the correct way to use wanted channel would be "wanted
answers" =)

And yeah I know I'm a pilkunnussija, no need to tell me that anymore.

You might get stupid answers though, right?
Forbidding stupid joke answers to questions on newbie channel was fine. Do we
have to take the old bullshit to get answers if we have got more levels/age
than just an ordinary newbie?

You have misunderstood a great many things. The fact that we do support
giving advice and answers to newcomers does not by any means imply that
the whole MUD should have become a beautiful community of hippies where
information is freely distributed amongst everyone. Far from it.

Face the ridicule, or get some friends to ask questions from,
or *gasp* figure out things yourself. Newbie channel is moderated,
and will remain so.

If you have more levels/age than just an ordinary newbie, I'd hope you know
enough to sort the bs answers from the real answers.

Who said I can't sort those answers. Just pisses me off having to do that.
